To use the WillSuite Integration within LEAP, you must first enable the WillSuite app from the App Marketplace.

To enable: 

1. Navigate to the LEAP Menu

2. Go to Marketplace 

3. Search for the WillSuite App and Click Enable

Once enabled, you will notice a Will Drafter icon on “Wills” matters and An LPA Drafter icon on “Lasting Power of Attorney” matters.

This guide explains how to use the WillSuite App within LEAP for drafting Wills or LPAs. Follow these instructions to begin drafting your Estate Planning documents via the WillSuite App in LEAP.

• Create or Access a Matter:

• Begin by creating or accessing a ‘Wills’, ‘Lasting Power of Attorneys’ or ‘Wills & Powers of Attorney’ matter in LEAP.

• Enter Client Details:

• Input the details of your clients to create the case as you normally would.

• Add Relevant Details:

• Enter the details of any relevant person or organization as cards in LEAP. Alternatively, you can add these details in the WillSuite app's address book and map them to the cards in LEAP.

• Launch WillSuite App:

• Select the 'Wills & LPAs' app from the ribbon at the top of the matter page.

• Navigate to Questionnaire:

• You will be directed to the questionnaire page in WillSuite, displaying a list of all the documents you can draft.

• Create a questionnaire:

• Click the 'Create' button adjacent to the name of the questionnaire you wish to begin drafting.

• Drafting:

• Answer the questions within the questionnaire to draft the document. You will find that the details you previously entered as cards in LEAP will have auto-populated the address book within the questionnaire.

• All questionnaires are laid out in the same manner. Each section of the document is listed on the column on the left-hand side, the questions and answers are in the middle and on the right you will find all the hints and tips applicable to the specific questions.

• Dynamic questionnaires:

• You will notice that the questionnaire is dynamic. Meaning you will only be presented with the relevant questions and depending upon your answers you will be asked different questions to draft the relevant clause.

• Appointing an Executor (example):

• Navigate to the ‘Executors / Trustees’ tab

• Access the questionnaire and select the ‘Executors / Trustees’ tab. (Note: In a mirror case you will be asked whether the testator wishes to appoint the spouse as the sole executor. Answer yes to appoint this person or no to follow the next step.)

• You will be presented with the question ‘Who are the Executors?’ (Note: While this example uses Executors, the steps are applicable to any type of appointment.)

• Complete the Executors’ Details

• Select the button ‘Add Executor’, you can then either select the option ‘Select from existing‘ to pick an individual from the case address book (or matter in LEAP) or select the ‘Add a new Executor’ button to add in the details at this stage.

• Creating a Gift (example):

• Navigate to 'Gifts of Money' Tab

• Access the questionnaire and select the 'Gifts of Money' tab. Answer 'Yes' to the first question and click the 'Add Monetary Gift' button. (Note: While this example uses monetary gifts, the steps are applicable to any type of gift or trust.)

• Complete the Monetary Gift Details

• Fill out the subsequent questions as per the requirements of the gift / trust you're setting up.

• Add Gift Beneficiaries

• Under the gift distribution section, click on the 'Add Gift Beneficiaries' button and select 'Discretionary Trust' from the options.

• Add a New Recipient

• To finalize the creation of the discretionary trust, click on the 'Add a New Recipient' button and follow the instructions in the pop-up menu.

• Preview the Draft:

• At any point, you can preview the Will or LPA by selecting the 'Preview' button at the bottom of the page.

• Complete and Upload the Documents back to the matter:

• After completing the draft, click on 'Action' at the bottom of the page, then select 'Upload Documents back to Matter'.

• This enables you to upload the document to the Correspondence list in the LEAP matter.

• Add Watermark (Optional):

• If desired, add a watermark to the documents by filling in the watermark textbox displayed.

This guide explains how to use mirror documents within the WillSuite App. Follow these instructions to mirror your Estate Planning documents drafted via the WillSuite App in LEAP.

• Create or Access a Matter:

  • Begin by creating or accessing a ‘Wills’, ‘Lasting Power of Attorneys’ or ‘Wills & Powers of Attorney’ matter in LEAP.

• Launch WillSuite App:

  • Select the 'Wills & LPAs' app from the ribbon at the top of the matter page.

• Create a new questionnaire or enter a previously created questionnaire:

  • If you haven’t yet created the first questionnaire, please select the document you wish to draft from the questionnaire page presented in front of you. Once you have finished drafting, please select the finish button at the bottom of the questionnaire page.

  • Alternatively, if you have already created a questionnaire, please select the ‘Submissions’ tab from the column on the left-hand side and click ‘View’ on the submission you wish to mirror.

• Mirror the document:

  • Select the ‘Mirror Submission’ option displayed on the page (please see image below):

Custom precedent clauses can make your workflow more efficient by saving time and effort in drafting documents. With WillSuite, you can add your own clauses to a custom clause library for easy access and use in future documents via the tracked editing feature.

• Enter the Menu within LEAP:

  • Select the Menu button at the top left-hand corner of your LEAP matter list.

• Enter the Settings area and the WillSuite settings:

  • Select Settings from the list at the bottom of the page; and

  • Select WillSuite under the Apps category

• Access the Custom Clause Library:

  • Locate and click on the 'Custom Clause Library' tab from the column on the left-hand side.

• Create a New Clause:

  • Click on the 'Create New Clause' button to start adding your custom clause.

• Enter the Menu within LEAP:

  • Select the Menu button at the top left-hand corner of your LEAP matter list.

• Enter the Settings area and the WillSuite settings:

  • Select Settings from the list at the bottom of the page; and

  • Select WillSuite under the Apps category

• Navigate to Document Customization:

  • In the left-hand column, click on ‘Document Customization’.

• Choose Your Customization Options:

  • Here, you will find a variety of customization options, such as:

    • Selecting pre-designed front covers

    • Uploading your custom front cover and footer

    • Adding or removing your company logo from the front cover

    • Displaying your company details on the front cover

    • Choosing the font style and size

    • Selecting your preferred heading style

• Save Changes:

  • • Once you are satisfied with your customizations, make sure to click the ‘Update’ button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

• Select the Relevant Matter:

• Firstly, navigate the matter that contains the document you'd like to edit.

• Launch WillSuite App:

• Select the 'Wills & LPAs' app from the ribbon at the top of the matter page.

• Access the Submissions Tab:

• Click on the 'Submissions' tab located in the column on the left-hand side and then click 'View' on the document you wish to edit.

• Find the Tracked Edit Option:

• Scroll down to the document’s menu. Here, click on the action button situated on the right-hand side of the document you want to edit.

• From the dropdown menu, choose 'Tracked Edit'.

• Edit the Document:

• Hover over the parts of the document you wish to change.

  You'll see four options appear on the right-hand side:

• Edit

• Pick a clause from the clause library

• Delete a clause

• Add a clause

• Choose the appropriate option for your editing needs.
