Learn how to scan documents to LEAP via Desktop, iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Explore multiple methods for efficient import and seamless integration.

Overview

There are multiple methods for importing scanned documents into a matter in LEAP.

Emailing the scanned document from a networked multifunction device (MFD) and saving it to LEAP.
Scanning documents to a network location from your MFD.
Scanning documents via integrated Vendors.

Email Scanned Documents

Most networked multifunction devices (MFDs) offer some form of ‘scan to email’ functionality. This allows you to scan a document to an email address.

Import Scanned Document

Many MFDs also include the ability to scan documents to a network folder or portable drive (such as a USB flash drive). Once you have scanned one or more documents to one of these locations, you can import this document directly to a matter in LEAP. For more information, please click here.

Vendor Integration

LEAP also integrates with selected vendors that include scanning as part of an overall expense recovery solution. Please click here and select Productivity.

Any issues with the Vendor Integration should be raised with their Vendor or IT provider. If this issue involves the LEAP API, they should contact LEAP App Dev Support.

Scan a Single Document

Open the matter.
Swipe to or tap the Correspondence tab.
Tap > Scan.

You can also tap on the Home screen.
Make sure you're in Single mode.
Place your document on a contrasting background to make the edges of the page easier to detect.
Tap .
Options on the next screen will include:
- - Edit Mode
- - List View
- - Switch to Batch Mode
- - Cancel
- - Delete Page
- - Rename
Tap Save.

The scanned document will be recorded as a PDF in the matter under the Correspondence tab.

Scan Multiple Pages

Open the matter.
Swipe to or tap the Correspondence tab.
Tap > Scan.

You can also tap on the Home screen.
Tap Batch.
Place your documents on a contrasting background to make the edges of the pages easier to detect.
Tap as many times as required.

The number of scanned pages will be displayed in the bottom left-hand side. Tap or Done to see all the the scanned pages.
Re-order the pages as required. To re-order scanned pages, touch and hold the scanned image and then move it to where you want it.
Options on the screen include:
- - List View
- - Add Page/Return to Batch Mode
- - Cancel
- - Delete Page
- - Rename
Tap Save.

The scanned document will be recorded as a PDF in the matter under the Correspondence tab.
