How To

Standard table types are displayed on a new matter according to the selected Matter Type. Learn how to add, remove and reorder table types in your matters.

Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Under the Details column, right-click the Matter Details or Matter Type table and select Edit Table Types.

The Edit Table Types will open in a new window.
Click the Show All Tables checkbox to display the full list of table types.
To add a table type to the matter, tick the Active checkbox next to the table type.

To add the parent and child table type simultaneously, hold Control and click (with your mouse) the parent matter table. This will active/deactivate the parent card/table along with all its child (related) cards/tables.

Clicking Reset Tables will reset all cards and tables to the default for the matter. If card data does not appear as expected in your forms or other documents, you may be able to resolve the issue by clicking Reset Tables and then adding the cards and tables to the matter again.

Resetting tables can also resolve errors such as: Failed to save. Please try again. Error updating definables. Table # cannot be related to Table #.
To remove a table type from the matter, untick the Active checkbox next to the table type.

A table type that contains data can't be removed from the matter. If a table type needs to be removed from the matter, return to the matter and remove the card or data from the matter, then remove the table type.
Click OK.
Right-click the newly added table type and select  Add from Card List  to allocate a card to the selected table type.
Save and Close the matter.

To change the order of where a data entry table type is positioned for a matter, select and drag the table type up or down on the matter.

Follow these steps to add, remove, or reorder table types in your matters in LEAP Web :

Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Click the 'Additional Details' (Settings cogwheel) button at the top-right corner.

The Additional Matter Details window will open.
Click the Table Types tab.
If the required data entry table isn't listed in the Matter Tables window, scroll down/search table types or select a table from the Other Tables window.
To add a table type to the matter, select the table by ticking the box in the 'Active' column.
To remove a table type from the matter, deselect the table by unticking the boxin the 'Active' column.

A table type that contains data can't be removed from the matter. If a table type needs to be removed from the matter, return to the matter and remove the card or data from the matter, then remove the table type.
Click Save.

A confirmation message will appear, indicating that your table types have been successfully saved.
