Reauthenticate Microsoft 365 & LEAP Integration Permissions

Details

This is an important update to how LEAP connects with your firm's Microsoft 365 environment. Microsoft has recently changed the way application permissions are managed and to align with these changes, we will be updating how LEAP is granted permission to interact with your firm's Microsoft 365 environment effective August 18th , 2026.

What to expect

When this update is released, your firm's Microsoft 365 administrator will need to complete two one-time steps:

1. Grant firm consent to the LEAP application permissions. This can be done via the below prompt that will appear:

2. Create the application access policy so LEAP can create Teams/online meetings on behalf of users.

Note: Users must have a Microsoft 365 licence that includes Microsoft Teams to use online meeting functionality in LEAP.

Why is this required?

Microsoft blocks app-only (firm) tokens from creating online meetings unless the firm's tenant has an application access policy configured. Without it, meeting creation fails with "No application access policy found for this app." This is a Microsoft tenant-level security requirement and must be completed by your firm's Microsoft 365 administrator as it cannot be configured automatically by LEAP.

Microsoft provides instructions for configuring the required application access policy in its documentation for reference: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/cloud-communication-online-meeting-application-access-policy

Application ID : 0323536a-65e0-4061-b593-40a3bd3665b2

Thank you for your continued support. We appreciate your cooperation as we implement these changes to keep LEAP aligned with Microsoft's latest security and permission requirements.
