How to Receipt the Movement of Funds After Closing Your Separate Interest-Bearing Account

If you have closed your Separate Interest-Bearing Account at the bank, you will need to ensure that you record any final transactions and then close off the account in LEAP. Please see below for the steps on this process.

  1. From LEAP Accounting, click the Trust tab > Interest-Bearing Account tab

  2. Click New Transaction to record the withdrawal of the current balance before closing the account. For detailed instructions on closing the Interest-Bearing Account, please click here.

  3. If you have deposited the funds into your Trust Accounts, make sure to also record the deposit (client receipt) within the Trust Accounts tab.
