You will need to create a general account bank deposit after the creation of a general account payment received which has a payment type of either cash or cheque.

The general ledger entry for a general account bank deposit, regardless of the accounting basis, will be:

Debit - General Account Bank Account.
Credit - LEAP Undeposited Funds.

Create a New General Account Bank Deposit

Click the LEAP Menu > Accounting > under General Accounting > New Bank Deposit.
The default Bank Account is used. If you want to use a different account, click and select one from the list, then click Select.
Enter a Memo.
Enter a Deposit No. if you are not using automatic sequential numbering.
Enter or select a Date if it's different from the current date.

Click to edit heading

Click on the column headers to sort the transactions by Checkbox, Date, Receipt Number, Payment Type and Amount.

Tick the checkboxes next to the transactions listed in the table which are to be included in the day's banking.

Tick the arrow next to the checkbox at the top of the first column and choose Select All to include all the listed transactions on the bank deposit.
(Optional) Click on the toolbar to print the bank deposit once it's been saved.
Click Save & Close.

Once the bank deposit is printed, it can be used to deposit the money at the bank. This eliminates the need to prepare a handwritten bank deposit.

Reverse a General Account Bank Deposit

Reversing a general account bank deposit will reverse the banking status of all the attached payments received, however, it will not reverse the actual payments received. To reverse the payments received, click here and go to the Reverse a General Account Payment Received section.

Click the LEAP Menu > Accounting > under General > Search Transactions.
Search for the bank deposit by entering the bank deposit number in the Search field or find the specific bank deposit under General Transactions > Bank Deposits.
Open the bank deposit.
Click on the toolbar.
Edit the Memo, if required.
(Optional) Click on the toolbar to print the reversal once it's been saved.
Click Save & Close.

Click > Accounting.
Select New Bank Deposit under General to open the General Account Bank Deposit window.
The default Bank Account is used. If you want to use a different account, select one from the drop-down list.
Enter a Memo.
Enter a Deposit No. if you are not using automatic sequential numbering.
By default, today's date is entered in the Transaction Date field. Click to select a different date, if required.
Tick the checkboxes next to the transactions listed in the table which are to be included in the day's banking.

Tick the checkbox at the top of the first column to include all the listed transactions on the bank deposit.
(Optional) Toggle the Print option On to print the bank deposit once it's been saved.
Click Save.

Once the bank deposit is printed, it can be used to deposit the money at the bank. This eliminates the need to prepare a handwritten bank deposit.

Click > Accounting.
Select Search Transactions to open the Search Transactions window.
Search for the bank deposit by entering the bank deposit number in the Search field or find the specific bank deposit under General Transactions > Bank Deposits.
Find and open the bank deposit.
Click Reverse.
Edit the Memo, if required.
(Optional) Toggle the Print option On to print the reversal once it's been saved.
Click Save.
